Outfit Inspiration: Bloggers in Dawson D Rose

When it comes to style inspiration, we like to look to the streets of London. Here in the capital’s fabulous Notting Hill, amazing street style is everywhere; it’s all around us. If you don’t have time to visit our wonderful Portobello Road and Golborne Market every weekend, style blogs are a great way to browse different looks on your laptop, phone or tablet. Here at Dawson D Rose, we just love working with bloggers. And here is a HUGE thank you and shout-out to some stylish bloggers who have featured Dawson D Rose…

The gorgeous Marsha Campbell from Style of a London Tall Girl looks absolutely stunning in her ripped jeans, sweater and cape combo. Completing her look with a cute fedora and our floral print collar, we believe that she’s accessorised like a pro. Marsha, we bow down.

This is the super stylish Clare Astra Morris from Rainbows and Fairydust and she’s styled our oversized white brocade bow with a French inspired Breton stripe top and some ripped jeans. Photographed with a bunch of tulips, this look is both edgy and feminine. So simple, yet so chic.

We’re completely in love with this cute outfit styled by Laura from Smile at Style. She teams together our paisley bow collar with a contrasting mulberry coloured coat. We all know that the British weather is completely unpredictable, even in the summer – so this look is just perfect!

Holly Cassell from The Persephone Complex always looks smoking hot with her classic red lipstick and effortless red hair. Together with a simple black skater dress and our adorable peter pan collar, this outfit is understated and elegant. Shop our full collection of collars online.

This bright and colourful outfit features our oversized white brocade bow, as seen on the fashion blog, Fashion Blah. Teamed with a geometric shirt and purple midi skirt, this outfit is bursting with drama.

This is simplicity at its finest; the classic white shirt. Our Ladbroke Shirt or Colville Shirt are perfect for wearing with jeans and and messy hair bun, and here blogger Style Nylon wears our Ladbroke so effortlessly.

A refreshing take on everyday workwear; Sarah from She Was A Daytripper Blog shows us how a feature piece such as our paisley bib necklace can transform a simple knit top in an instant. The perfect way to add a little ‘je ne sais quoi‘ to your daily wardrobe.

A massive thank you to all the bloggers who have featured Dawson D Rose so far. And keep checking in on our blog for more blogger outfits.

The Classic White Shirt: How to Wear

The classic white shirt is an iconic jewel of the British fashion industry. Every girl should own one. And any girl (no matter size, shape or skintone) can look fabulous in one. The white shirt is timelessly beautiful in every way and best of all, it requires minimal styling. From the elegant Audrey Hepburn wearing it in the 50s and seductive siren Brigitte Bardot rocking it in the 60s to the one and only Kate Moss hotting up the Oxford Shirt in the 90s, this essential wardrobe must-have has transcended across the decades.

And let’s not forget that the talented Karl Largerfield once said that his favourite piece of clothing is the classic white shirt. We of course, completely agree. That’s why white shirts remain a core part of our made to measure collection.

Our fabulous Colville Shirt is the latest SS15 addition to our Dawson D Rose made to measure range of women’s clothing. The beauty of this collarless round neck shirt is that it can be styled in so many ways. Here we’ve tied it to create a cropped effect and this works beautifully with high waist or low waist skirts and trousers. Buttoned down, this stunning shirt looks gloriously casual – and we think it’s very city chic.

Another way to style the Colville Shirt is to wear it with one of our brand new sleeveless jackets for some super stylish layering. Here we’ve put the classic shirt with our gorgeous double breasted Chepstow Sleeveless Jacket – perfect for a warm spring day and ideal for after work drinks or dinner.

If you’re looking for a more classic look with a collar, our Ladbroke Shirt looks amazing in white. It’s a firm favourite within our collection and works in almost any wardrobe. Styled with our Horse Print Neckerchief (above), it looks simple yet edgy. Or styled with a vintage waistbelt (below), it can really accentuate the female figure.
